Overview

With separate parking areas for patients, visitors, and staff, the Waitakere Hospital and North Shore Hospital were both in need of a more efficient and centralised parking management system.

Solution

The WDHB contract consisted of renovating the lots into two fully automated parking sites at both Waitemata and North Shore, which are situated 25 Kilometers apart. The Waitakere Hospital is controlled from the North Shore Hospital, where all communications are directed back to.

Result

With all communications and control fully centralised at North Shore, a single attendant has the ability to control either site with ease via remote monitoring and automated technology. Because of the installation’s success and positive feedback from the WDHB, the project continues to grow daily.
